{"id":789,"date":"2019-05-14T15:58:36","date_gmt":"2019-05-14T14:58:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.chalfamwineclub.org.uk\/?page_id=789"},"modified":"2021-01-11T11:49:25","modified_gmt":"2021-01-11T11:49:25","slug":"gdpr-statement","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.chalfamwineclub.org.uk\/?page_id=789","title":{"rendered":"Privacy Policy"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The new GDPR came into\nforce on 25th May 2018, making it necessary for all clubs to operate in\nalignment with the new legislation.&nbsp;The\nregulations provide three lawful reasons for clubs to collect and process your\ndata: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Processing data is necessary for legal compliance<\/li><li>Processing data is necessary for membership administration\n     <\/li><li>Consent has been given by an individual to the\n     processing of data by opting in to this for specific purposes.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>GDPR\nprovides the following basic rights for the data we hold about you, our\nChalfont &amp; Amersham Wine Club (CAWC) members; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The right to be\ninformed \u2013 We must tell what data we hold about you and why it\u2019s necessary.<\/li><li>The right of access \u2013 On\nrequest, we must let you see the data we hold about you<\/li><li>The right to\nrectification \u2013 On request, we must put mistakes right<\/li><li>The right to erasure \u2013\nOn request, we must erase your data, however data erasure may impede managing\nyour membership. <\/li><li>The right to restrict\nprocessing \u2013 We must only use your data in so far as it is necessary to fulfil\nthe club\u2019s objectives<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nCAWC membership secretary will collect or has already collected the following\ninformation from you:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Your\ndate of birth \u2013 We need this as wine consumption is an age restricted activity,\nand we must be able to prove you are over 18<\/li><li>Your\ncontact details, including email address, phone number and home address \u2013 We\nneed these to inform you about club events<\/li><li>Attendance\nrecords \u2013 We track member attendance to better understand which meetings are\npopular and which members are active participants. We need this because we\nnormally have a waiting list, and reserve the right to offer new membership in\nplace of members who are no longer active. <\/li><li>Payment\ndetails \u2013 When members pay meeting fees (or any other fees costs) we must keep\naccurate records to ensure that the club remains solvent and can continue to\nserve its members.
